While stormwater and sewage management is an essential consideration in all types of residential projects, the systems that are generally used for this purpose are not always up to the task.

Conventional systems rely on gravity to move relevant materials to the sewerage network, and are therefore of little use in projects involving large catchments, on blocks that slope away from the road (and council mains or sewer treatment plants), and so forth.

In these cases, Inground Pumping Stations – systems that integrate tanks or chambers with submersible pumps and control equipment, and are installed underground – are a viable alternative.

Titled ‘Discovering Inground Pump Stations – A Guide for Specifiers’, this CPD Live session focuses on these increasingly common systems. Pointing to real life case studies to illustrate their points, our speakers outline how Inground Pump Stations work, the regulations surrounding their installation, and best practice when it comes to specifying them.

Nick Moore – National Business Development Manager, Saniflo SFA

Nick Moore has been involved in the plumbing industry for over 40 years, and providing solutions directly to architects, designers and engineers for over 25 of them. Nick joined Saniflo SFA 10 years ago as QLD/NT sales manager, and three years ago, took up the role of National Business Development manager, training state-based BDMs in the provision of innovative plumbing solutions to design influencers. In this role, Nick has driven the development of CPDs for design influencers and assisted in the creation of dedicated web-based Designer hubs – an extension of Saniflo SFA’s open website.

Greg Waters – National Technical Manager, Saniflo SFA

Greg Waters has close to 40 years’ experience in the plumbing, manufacturing, renovation and construction industry, with the last 9 years as Saniflo SFA’s National Technical Manager. Prior to joining Saniflo SFA, Greg had utilised the solutions Saniflo SFA provide in his renovation work, and then increased their usage by developing transportable ensuites that are required when homeowners are having bathroom renovations. Over the past nine years, Greg has been instrumental in developing new products that are now manufactured in Saniflo SFA’s French factories for Australia and 27 other overseas subsidiaries. Greg also writes the whitepapers for Saniflo SFA that are available to architects and designers to introduce new products and concepts.

Richard Teed – Principal, Moby Architecture & Interiors

Richard completed his Masters of Architecture degree at The University of Melbourne in 2010 and has since worked for a number of practices focusing on high end residential dwellings. Richard launched his practice, Moby Architecture & Interiors in 2018 and continues to focus on high end dwellings in both urban and regional environments. With a passion for contemporary architecture, Richard aims to create dwellings which are strongly connected to and in harmony with their site.
